Abstract
This study investigates the competitive diffusion dynamics of technological products using the classical Lotka–Volterra competition model. By numerically solving the coupled nonlinear differential equations, the effects of intrinsic growth rates, self-limiting factors, and competition coefficients on the adoption trajectories of two competing products are systematically analyzed. In addition to parameter sensitivity analysis, equilibrium points and their stability are examined analytically, while phase portraits and parameter-space diagrams are employed to provide a comprehensive interpretation of the competitive dynamics. The results demonstrate that relatively small variations in the model parameters can substantially alter long-term market outcomes, leading to either product dominance or stable coexistence. The proposed analytical framework offers practical insights into competitive technology diffusion and provides a useful decision-support tool for strategic planning, innovation management, and competitive market analysis.
